My first time

I am new to blogging. But I am certainly not new to crafting. Creativity has always been natural to me as long as I know. But, I live in the real world and the real world requires a stable paying job that does not always include creativity. Or at least my idea of creativity.

I have always been the hobby crafter. Few things here and there. But it has been recently when surfing an online craft store that I was like "That is too cute!" and " I can make that!" Off I was, creating away so i could dress my daughter up super cute! I found my creative self again that had been lost to a "normal way of life".

Of course I have to show the girls at work. Then one day I was asked if i have pinned or posted?????

Well, here I am. What can it hurt? I am thinking of this as my trial run and a documentation of what I have done. Who knows, maybe I will find creativity in this as well.

This is one of my latest for my daughter. Its great that she loves everything I make her. The orange fabric was made from a table cloth I picked up at a rummage sale. I am always looking for items that I transform.

Spinach Lasagna Rolls

I originally found this recipe here on skinnytaste.com. She gets all the credit. I changed it a bit because the Handsome Man does not like ricotta. Pooh. I When its time to cook this I use a meaty spaghetti sauce.  Spinach Lasagna Rolls Ingredients:   18 lasagna noodles, cooked Approx. 2 cups of freshly chopped spinach (or 10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and completely drained)   2  - 8oz packages of Neufchâtel (or cream cheese) softened   ½ cup cottage cheese 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese   2 egg salt and fresh pepper   ½  cup mozzarella cheese, shredded Combine spinach, Neufchâtel, cottage cheese,  Parmesan , egg, salt and pepper, and mozzarella in a large bowl. If the mixture seems soupy then add more  Parmesan . Easy Salisbury Steak

Here is one of our family favorites. It is cheap and easy to make. You will need (I used): 2 lbs Deer burger 1 egg 1/4 cup milk 1 box of stuffing mix 3 .87 packets of brown gravy mix (dry) 1. Use a rolling pin to crush stuffing mix in the bag. 2. Mix stuffing mix with egg and milk. 3. Add stuffing mix to burger and mix well. 4. Make small patties. About 14. Place in greased or sprayed baking dish. 5. Bake patties for 14 minutes, turn and bake for another 14 minutes. 6. Mix 3 cups of water with dry gravy mix and pour over patties. 7. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes and a veggie.

Slow Cooker Taco Chili

My church had a Chili Cook Off last night to kick off this year’s family night. It was a runner up for most popular vote. I would have won if Zoey wouldn’t have mysteriously come up with 3 extra votes when it came to announce the winner. Ha Ha! All the chili was very yummy last night and I had to taste all 8 entries. Needless to say, I was soooo uncomfortable afterwards. It was fun! All my co-workers appreciated it too as I took what was left over to feed them the next day. I put together all the ingredients the night before and put it in the crock pot over night. In the morning before leaving to work I took it out of the fridge and put the crock pot on low for the day. Super easy and it is nice to get home from work to already have supper done.
